Wise Words Jigsaw Puzzle - Dusty Attic Mood board DT Challenge

Wise Words, Mixed Media Jigsaw Puzzle by Deb Stephens
Hello Dusty Fans and welcome to my take on the September Mood Board Challenge! This project is a simple mixed media Jigsaw puzzle! The size is great and not overwhelming if you want to start with something small.
I used DA2363 Jigsaw Pieces Medium, and cut a base to match using extra Dusty Attic chipboard sheets I had. (to prevent frustration later I numbered the backs of each Jigsaw piece in order) I then only snipped the small tags holding the puzzle pieces to their frame and separated it from the pieces.
I used two coats of white spray paint primer as I knew I could get good coverage without clogging up all the spaces between the pieces.
Once dry, I placed the pieces back into the frame. Using the mood board colours as inspiration I had some fun with my Ranger alcohol inks, blending solution and an air puffer to move the inks around! I used some Rose Gold foil over the leftover sticky residue and it made the background pop!

Embossing with embossing ink through the

DA1641 Wise words Stencil #8, and then removing to apply blue embossing powder, I got my affirmation message onto my puzzle and heat set it. Once set, I used a white gel pen to add highlights to the brush stroke font.

After this, I removed all the tags to separate the Jigsaw pieces and adhered the frame to the base. I also used a fine line black pen to trace the outlines of the pieces onto the white base. To finish, I applied a thin coat of spray varnish over everything to seal it. Hoping this inspires you to create and have fun!
